Enrique (Enrique Antón, Kike Antón, AK, OAK y Santo Cereixo) is an Spanish artist with a degree in Contemporary Art History from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela (Spain). He majored in painting, visual communications and textile print design and combines a number of disciplines to explore the relationships between life, time, love and human passions through his work.
In 1997 his painting "M.P. you died for me" was shortlisted and exhibited in the I Salón de Outuno da cidade da Coruña, Spain and he took this recognition as a sign to explore other creative avenues. A decade later he decided to start participating in some exhibitions and his work "Building parallel cities to cure my soul" (photography and digital manipulation) was shortlisted and exhibited in the Ito Yakuchu inspired competition organized by Design Boom during the Tokyo Design Week in 2012. "Sea drops" (graphic design) was also shortlisted and exhibited in the Francisco Mantecón prize, Spain, 2013 and his painting "Anunciación bondage, vol. 1" has been shortlisted and exhibited in the XXXI Certame de pintura de Cambre, Spain, 2013.
Enrique has travelled the world, lived in the UK and Italy and it is in 2018 that he settled down in Braga (Portugal) where he nowadays combines his work as a creative designer / visual communications consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations with other artistic ways of expressions such as surface and textile design, installation and painting.
